Romania wants to actively participate in the strengthening of the European project and aims to advance the works in the economic, financial and fiscal area, to the benefit of all member states, Public Finance Minister Eugen Teodorovici stated on Monday within a meeting in Bucharest with Norway's Finance Minister Siv Jensen.

According to a release of the relevant ministry sent to AGERPRES on Monday, the two Finance Ministers discussed, at the Public Finance Ministry (MFP) headquarters, about the priorities of the Romanian Presidency at the EU Council in the economic and financial area.

"Romania wants to be an active participant in the consolidation process of the European project. In this context, we aim to advance the works in the economic, financial and fiscal area, in view of boosting economic growth, investments and by supporting structural reforms, to the benefit of all member states," Toeodorovici stated.

The two Finance Ministers discussed about financial services, international fiscal cooperation, digital taxation and UK's withdrawal from the European Union.
