Serial supermarket robber nabbed

A 34-year-old woman believed to be behind at least 56 supermarket robberies in different parts of the greater Athens area was to face a prosecutor on Wednesday on multiple charges of theft.

The woman, who was arrested in Zefyri, northwestern Athens, is believed to have worked with two accomplices, who are being sought by police.

The trio targeted supermarkets in northwestern Athens and other parts, according to investigators.
