Bulgarian PM Borisov Promised: Next Year 10% Income Growth

Prime Minister Boyko Borisov has promised the wages of the Podkrepa LC Congress to rise by at least ten percent.

"It is time to raise our income and next year we want to raise our income again by at least ten percent. This will be a high growth of the economy and a struggle against the gray sector in it, "he said.
 
Today, we decided to increase the income of nurses from municipal hospitals by ten percent twice because "my gift to Trade Union Podkrepa is the finance minister I brought here," Borisov said.

"For years we advertised Bulgaria as a place to invest with the cheap labor, but this did not play out well for us, the time has come to raise our incomes, and we are doing our best," the prime minister said.
 
Borisov pointed to Bulgaria's good economic performance in recent years, and that the EC yesterday pointed to Bulgaria as the fifth in expected GDP growth.

"There is no international organization that does not take into account our progress in all spheres," he added.

"To raise more money in the budget, we are struggling with the gray economy," Borisov said. Right from the start of the mandate, we announced that by the end of the mandate we will double the teacher's salaries twice and execute it. They have never been given so much money in the education system, "he said.
 
"There are big differences in wage growth - people working in the digital economy have increased their income two or three times, and elsewhere they picked up five or ten percent, and that is very little," Borisov said.
 
"Here the two syndicates are a very good corrective of the government and the employers. For me, there have been 15-20 meetings of employers and trade unions and we are convinced that a higher economy is needed...
