The "One Person" Figure with 56 Screen, 12 Meters High, can Replace the "Bronze House"

An anthropomorphic figure, 12 meters high, made of 56 LED screens, will replace the Bronze House on the site of Georgi Dimitrov's former maze in Sofia. The project was approved by the Creative Council of the Sofia Municipality and was selected from 18 others. The plan of the municipality is "One Person" to be installed by the end of the year until the summer, "Bilyana Genova, head of the Culture Directorate, told Dnevnik.

Plamen Deyanov's "Bronze House" was installed at the grounds of the City Garden in front of the Palace in June and was dismantled in early February.

The installation is called "One Person" and its author is Venelin Shturelov. The project will cost the municipality 81,100 leva, and the money is provided under the "Outside" program with an annual budget of 100,000 leva. It provides for the installation of various installations every year at the site of the demolished mausoleum. The author will provide the city with the LED screens that will show the city in real time.

In order to be put in the place of the Bronze House, "One Person" must be approved by the Ministry of Culture, the National Institute for Immigrant Cultural Heritage and the Architecture and Urban Planning Division and then approved by the Sofia Municipal Council.

Venelin Shurelov graduated in "Stage Design" at the National Academy of Arts, where he is currently teaching in the Digital Arts Master's program. He is the author of various interactive installations such as "Drawing Machine" (2005), "Phantom" (2008), Orthoman (2009) Tabula Rasa (2010), Strelbiste (2012) in Ars Electronics Center.
