Grigor Dimitrov Dropped Out from the Top 30 for the First Time since August 2016

Grigor Dimitrov fell from the top 30 in the world rankings. The best Bulgarian tennis player lost seven places in the upgrading of the ranking today and ended up under №31. This is his lowest position for two and a half years.

For the last time, Dimitrov was so low in the rankings on August 15, 2016, when he was № 34. He then started working with his current coach, Danny Valverdu. Their partnership quickly yielded great results, culminating in winning the ATP finals in 2017 and climbing to No. 3 in the world.

Dimitrov did not play at the Australian Open, where he came to the finals. Since then, he has healed a shoulder injury, for which he abandoned the Rotterdam and Acapulco tournaments.

Last week the Bulgarian tennis player lost 300 points because he played a final in the Dutch city a year ago. His absence from Acapulco will not result in the loss of points because last season he dropped out after his first match in Dubai.

The next tournaments in Dimitrov's program are the first two races of the Masters series - in Indian Wells (March 4-11) and Miami (March 18-25).
