Bulgarian Institutional Delegation is Studying Korean Experience and Good Practices in Support of Small and Medium-sized Businesses Policies

The Executive Director of the Bulgarian Small and Medium Enterprises Promotion Agency /BSMEPA/ Dr Boyko Takov is visiting the Republic of Korea to participate in the official third part of the project Knowledge Sharing Program (KSP) entitled "Interim Reporting and Policy Practitioners Workshop". The tense schedule of the visit allowed the representatives of Bulgarian institutions and business delegations to visit agencies and institutions related to the topic and to discuss the experience and good practices with Korean specialists on the spot.

One of the important meetings was in the Ministry of Small, Medium-sized and Start-up Enterprises. It is a governmental organization whose aim is to strengthen competitiveness and support the innovation of the SMEs. Dr. Takov and the other participants of the Bulgarian delegation also became acquainted with the SBC Training Institute, a government-funded nonprofit organization established to implement government policies and programs for the steady growth and development of Korean SMEs, as well as with the experience and practices of Korea Technology and Information Promotion Agency for SMEs (TIPA), which is specialized state funded R & D agency supporting SMEs.

Dr. Takov met with representatives of Korea Institute for Advancement of Technology (KIAT), which supports industrial technology and policy planning, as well as industry-academia cooperation.

Interesting and useful for the Bulgarian representatives of the institutional and business circles were the meetings at the Korean Trade-Investment Promotion Agency (KOTRA), a state-funded organization run by the South Korean government. Same for Korea Venture Investment Corporation (KVIC) - it is a specialized fund for venture capital fund management....
