PM Dancila meets Emirati Ambassador to Romania and underscores importance of long-term economic cooperation with UAE

Prime Minister Viorica Dancila on Monday met with Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) to Romania Ahmed Abdullah Bin Saeed Al Matrooshi, in which context she underscored that the long-term economic cooperation with the UAE within some projects of interest in industry, agriculture, energy, finance, transport, infrastructure, IT, as well as innovation, research and tourism, is a priority for Romania. According to a Government release, the Romanian PM welcomed the recent developments of the bilateral relations, based on friendship, openness and good cooperation. Furthermore, they also discussed at the meeting about the identification of concrete ways to strengthen Romania-UAE trade relations, the development and strengthening of the bilateral political dialogue. "In this regard, both Prime Minister Viorica Dancila and the Emirati Ambassador commended the document adopted in October 2018, namely the" Joint Declaration regarding the establishment of an extended economic partnership between Romania's Government and the Government of the UAE," as the foundation for future consolidation of cooperation in all areas of shared interest. The head of the Executive underscored that the long-term cooperation with the United Arab Emirates within some projects of interest in priority cooperation areas, namely industry, agriculture, energy, finance, transport, infrastructure, IT, as well as innovation, research and tourism, is a priority for Romania" the Gov't release informs.
