As the first female prime minister of Romania, I am fully convinced that women have the strength and the skills needed to further change society for the better, implicitly by finding the best solutions for the future of Europe," she said when presenting a review of the results of the Romanian Presidency of the EU Council. She reiterated the message sent to Brussels regarding the efforts made by the Romanian presidency of the EU Council on gender equality. "On Wednesday, I participated in a meeting of the European Women's Council in Brussels and, yesterday, we launched a debate on the promotion of gender equality organised by the Romanian Presidency at the Council of the European Union.
