Vucic meets with Orban, governments to hold joint session

Vucic and Orban will also a joint session of the governments of the two countries to be held in this town on Monday.

Vucic and Orban concluded that relations between the two countries are at the highest level in their history, based on mutual understanding and trust, as a result of many years of cooperation.
They expressed their sincere commitment to bilateral cooperation, as well as cooperation on issues of importance to the entire region.
Vucic also thanked Orban for the open and strong support of Hungary to the EU integration of Serbia.
The Serbian president also apologized for irresponsible statements heard during Saturday's opposition rally in Belgrade concerning ethnic Hungarians, Serbian citizens, because, as he said, "this is not the position of a majority in Serbia, but of a part of irresponsible people who lack seriousness," Vucic said, according to the presidential press service.
Vucic and Orban also discussed possible new Hungarian investments in Serbia, as well as concrete measures to implement joint infrastructure and energy projects, especially concerning the construction of the TurkStream gas pipeline.
Vucic informed Orban about the stalemate in the dialogue between Belgrade and Pristina due to Pristina's 100 percent taxes imposed on goods from central Serbia.
The meeting was also attended by foreign ministers of Serbia and Hungary Ivica Dacic and Peter Szijjarto.
