US ambassador shows Serbian kids map without Kosovo?
Kosovo is Serbia's southern province where ethnic Albanians 11 years ago unilaterally declared independence, which Serbia considers to be a violation of its Constitution and territorial integrity.
Sevarlic told reporters in the Serbian National Assembly on Friday that Scott spoke at the Zarko Zrenjanin elementary in Apatin, a town in northern Serbia, and that he learned about the event from the local media.
"For how long will Serbia allow itself to be disparaged by foreign ambassadors?" Sevarlic asked.
He publicly asked Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic, Prime Minister Ana Brnabic, Foreign Minister Ivica Dacic, and Minister of Education, Science and Technological Development Mladen Sarcevic whether the ambassador's actions represent "child abuse for political purposes."
"What would happen if the Serbian ambassador in Washington gave a lecture of the kind in an elementary school?" asked Sevarlic.
