Chinese to build another highway in Serbia
This was announced by representatives of China Road And Bridge Corporation (CRBC) on Tuesday.
Serbian Minister of Construction, Transport and Infrastructure Zorana Mihajlovic received the company's Chairman Du Fei, with whom she discussed the current and the planned projects that this company is implemeting in Serbia.
"Thank you for the seriousness and responsibility with which CRBC is approaching all projects in Serbia, and we expect this will be the same when it comes to those projects that we plan to implement in the coming period. For us, all projects for which we have signed agreements with CRBC in the last few months are very important, both the sections Novi Beograd-Surcin and Pozega-Boljare on Corridor 11, as well as the reconstruction of the Belgrade-Nis-Presevo railway," said Mihajlovic.
Du Fei informed the Serbian official that the section Surcin-Obrenovac on Corridor 11 will be completed by the end of the year, and that everything is ready for marking the commencement of works on the section of the same highway from Preljina to Pozega.
He said that CRBC is ready to sign a commercial contract for the New Belgrade-Surcin section as soon as possible, and that technical documentation and the contract for the reconstruction of the Belgrade-Nis-Presevo railway line could be prepared by the end of the year.
Mihajlovic and Du also discussed the construction of the last section of Corridor 11 from Pozega to Boljare, and the Fruska Gora Corridor, i.e.,the fast Novi Sad-Ruma route, according to a statement from the minister's cabinet.
