Three fined for picking inverted tulips

Three people have been fined a total of 180,489 Turkish Liras for picking inverted tulips under protection in Tunceli's Ovacık district in central eastern Anatolia. The inverted tulips, also whimsically called 'crying brides' by locals, grow in mountainous regions of Anatolia in the spring. AA photo
