4.3 magnitude tremor shakes Samos island

Scientists say a strong earthquake with a preliminary magnitude of 4.3 has struck the eastern Aegean island of Samos.
Athens' Geodynamics Institute reports that the tremor struck at 6.30 p.m. Friday about 24 kilometers south of the island at a depth of 10 kilometers.
No damage or injuries have been reported so far.
