Turkey produces over 112,000 vehicles in January

Turkey's carmakers produced a total of 112,298 vehicles (passenger cars and commercial vehicles combined) in January, data from the Automotive Manufacturers' Association (OSD) have shown.

The automotive industry's total output exhibited no change compared with the same month of 2018, according to the data.

Vehicles exports exhibited a decline of 4 percent to 89,962 units.

The automotive industry's export revenues rose by 4 percent to $2.5 billion in January while passenger car exports amounted to $1 billion.

The country's overall exports rose 6.1 percent on an annual basis to $14.8 billion last month.
