Reforms and resistance

The present Greek government was elected on the key promise of reforms. The prime minister was elected by his New Democracy party and by the people on a platform of reforms and change. After 10 years of crisis, Greeks are starting to see those reforms and their positive impact on their daily lives.

A key reform is the strengthening of institutions in Greece and their harmonization with the European institutions. Party politics had degraded the Hellenic Competition Commission under SYRIZA. Fortunately, the present government appointed to this independent authority specialists in the area of competition law and named as its president Ioannis Lianos, a very distinguished professor of law at University College, London.
