Bulgaria: The Police Removed the Tent Camps of the Protesters All Over the Country

Police have set up tent camps across the country. The action started at 4.30 on Friday morning. Traffic was restored at all intersections that were blocked, police said.

Three tent camps were organized in Sofia - on Orlov Most, in front of the building of the Rector of Sofia University and on Nezavisimost Square. Traffic on all lines of public transport has been restored along their usual route, according to the Sofia Municipality.

The erection of the tent camp on Orlov Most began shortly before 5 am on Friday.

"I was here, everything was normal. A large number of police came," protesters said. According to the protesters, the situation was stressful. They claim that there are also detainees.

A police raid was also conducted in Plovdiv, Varna and Stara Zagora.

The Plovdiv protesters were pushed out of the intersection of Chifte Banya around 4 am. They blocked the intersection of Sixth of September and Tsar Boris III boulevards, which connect the northern and southern parts of the city, around 8pm on Thursday.
According to the demonstrators, before the appearance of the police, provocateurs also appeared on the spot. The tent camp has been moved to the sidewalk.

In Varna the situation is calm, there is an increased police presence on the spot. The protesters voluntarily moved their tent camp in front of the Municipality. Traffic in Varna was blocked on Monday, and the blockade fell on Friday.

During the night, the tents of the protesters in Stara Zagora were removed. They were pushed by law enforcement into the meadows around the city's airport. The camp stood for about a week, with protesters completely blocking traffic in the area, only ambulances and cars with a special traffic regime allowed to pass./Nova TV
