Museum project creating mosaic of life during pandemic

The initiative, titled Corona Into Museum ASAP!, aims to provide an overview of what the pandemic meant for Ljubljana for future generations.

Citizens are thus invited to contribute depictions or objects that represent their new day-to-day life amid coronavirus concerns and restrictions, and bear witness to history.

The first phase of the project, which has been extended until the end of August, aims to gather digital material portraying the new reality.

So far, 55 persons have contributed some 1,000 photographs or video recordings. The museum has also received texts conveying the impressions of lockdown and the new normal.

The items are exhibited on the museum's web page. The institution will start collecting physical objects when the situation is more stable though.
