BAMC executive team made complete

Ljubljana – Dimitrij Piciga, the former CEO of gaming company hit, has been appointed to join the management board of the Bank Assets Management Company (BAMC) as an executive director to complete the executive team.

Piciga will be joining chief executive director Matej Pirc and executive director Andraž Grum starting on 23 December, BAMC said in a press release on Friday.

The release notes that the economist has a host of leadership, restructuring and management skills and experience from large companies in the private and public sectors, development of new entrepreneurial ideas and team building, in particular in tourism.

BAMC published a call for applications to fill the post in November after Bojan Gantar resigned from the post in late September.

Apart from executive directors, the BAMC management board also comprises four non-executive directors. Boris Novak, who previously served as director general of the state-owned postal operator Pošta Slovenije, was appointed the board’s chairman as a non-executive director in June.

The other non-executive directors are Marko Tišma, Aleksander Lozej and Alenka Urnaut Ropoša.

Under the valid legislation, BAMC will end its operations at the end of 2022.
