Two top-three finishes for Slovenian ski jumpers

Klingenthal/Linz – Slovenia ski jumpers won two World Cup podium positions on Saturday as Bor Pavlovčič finished third in Klingenthal, Germany for his first-ever top-three finish, whereas Nika Križnar was the runner-up in Hinzenbach, Austria.

Pavlovčič was sixth after the first series but landed a 142.5 metre jump on the large hill in Klingenthal in the second series for the best World Cup result of his career.

The podium position for the 22-year-old comes after he finished fourth in Willingen last weekend.

In the women’s competition, Križnar followed up her win on Friday with second place, just 0.4 points behind the winner, Sara Takanashi of Japan.

Križnar is now second in the overall World Cup rankings, just 39 points behind the leader, the Austrian jumper Marita Kramer.
