Citu: Gov't to approve normative acts that cannot be postponed; acquisition of 4.2 million Pfizer vaccines

Prime Minister Florin Citu states that in the Government meeting scheduled for Thursday, a series of draft normative acts will be adopted that cannot be postponed, mentioning among them a memorandum by which the Ministry of Health concludes a new order for the purchase of 4,260,269 optional doses of anti-COVID-19 vaccine produced by BioNTech / Pfizer. "In today's Government meeting we will approve the following normative acts that cannot be postponed. Government decision: food allowances for hospital patients with the index of consumer prices for foodstuffs in the period 2018-2020, of 109.72% and we regulated the manner of increasing the food allowances at the request of the head of the health unit, with the approval of the board of directors, under the conditions of identifying other sources of financing than the amounts from the contracts concluded with the health insurance houses and from the state budget. The emergency ordinance under which the medical staff working in the vaccination centers are allowed to conclude contracts for the provision of services as natural persons. These documents will be considered seniority in work and pension-contribution periods. We clarify the situation of the resident doctors working in these vaccination centers," Florin Citu wrote on Thursday on his Facebook page. At the same time, a memorandum will be approved by which the Ministry of Health concludes a new order for the purchase of 4,260,269 optional doses of anti-COVID-19 vaccine produced by the company BioNTech / Pfizer. The Chief of the Executive also mentions a Government's decision on humanitarian aid, free of charge, for the Republic of Moldova, from the reserve of the Ministry of Health and consisting in granting 132,000 doses of anti-COVID 19 vaccine, from the number of doses purchased by the Ministry of Health and delivered by AstraZeneca Company. In the Government's meeting, the Prime Minister also says, a draft law on the adoption of measures regarding information and communication infrastructures of national interest and the conditions for the implementation of 5G networks will be adopted. Florin Citu also shows that a memorandum will be approved with the topic: Establishing the principles that will be the basis for the reanalysis and drawing up the legal framework regarding the remuneration of staff paid from public funds.
