"We have gone through a difficult year, a very difficult year, a year that we did not expect and that put us in front of some situations that we had to overcome. I want to congratulate all the ladies and misses, all the distinguished ladies present in the hall who run businesses, who have managerial positions, that they have coped with the challenges of the pandemic and especially that they have kept afloat the business they run in a period when many of these businesses completely unexpected situations", said Orban, who participated in the third edition of the "Women in Economy 2021" Gala, organized by the National Confederation for Feminine Entrepreneurship - CONAF. He mentioned that Romania needs an accelerated development of the entrepreneurial spirit. "As far as I am concerned, I think it is very important for Romania for the feminine entrepreneurial spirit to manifest itself more. If we look at many areas of activity, especially in sports, culture, we see that the performances are largely achieved by Romanian women who are often more competitive in different fields than Romanian men. Romania needs an accelerated development of entrepreneurship spirit and I hope you will be role models for all the young girls who are in primary, middle school, high school and I think they should be encouraged to assume managerial positions, to open businesses and not to have any hesitation in trying to create businesses", added Ludovic Orban. The Speaker of the Chamber of Deputies appreciated that women can run business without any problems. "Development can only be done through initiative, by taking responsibility, by courage, by the courage to step on unknown paths and who else but women to do these things, when they are managers anyway, even if they do not have managerial positions. Let's be honest, in families, the households are run by ladies, and if you run a household, you can run a business without any problems," Orban added.
