The image of the legendary Slovenian athlete captured in a new silver coin

Elementum is proud to announce the new Miroslav Cerar Tokyo 1964 silver coin which was designed in collaboration with Miroslav Cerar and the Olympic Committee of Slovenia. The silver coin bears the image of the legendary athlete who won a gold medal at the 1964 Tokyo Olympics and this year returns to the famous Tokyo Olympic stage as a special guest. The special edition of the silver coin also carries a charitable note as the company Elementum will donate part of the proceeds from sale to the Miroslav Cerar Foundation to support young athletes from socially disadvantaged backgrounds.
In light of the upcoming Olympic Games, Elementum joined forces with the Olympic Committee of Slovenia and Miroslav Cerar to create a new valuable souvenir - the Miroslav Cerar Tokyo 1964 silver coin. It depicts our most successful Slovenian athlete who won 30 medals for Slovenia in major competitions between 1958 and 1970, with 16 of those belonging to the most challenging competitions. The legend of Slovenian sport is a two-time Olympic champion, a four-time world champion, a ten-time European champion, and is known for his versatility which he demonstrates in sports as well as business.

Besides receiving a great number of high awards, including the highest recognition of the International Olympic Committee (L’ordre Olympique) and the Golden Order of Merit for his significant contribution in the field of sports and outstanding achievements in gymnastics, he is also the founder of the Slovenian Olympic Committee and Slovenian Olympic Academy as well as the Slovenian Ambassador for Sport, Tolerance and Fair Play. Additionally, he is the president of the Miroslav Cerar Foundation which provides support to young athletes from socially disadvantaged backgrounds.

Miroslav Cerar’s incredible contribution to the development of Slovenian sport is an inspiration to Elementum, which is the bronze sponsor of the Olympic Committee of Slovenia and supports the education of young athletes within its social responsibility program. The newly created silver coin will inspire collectors, fans of the Olympic Games, experts in gymnastics, and all enthusiasts of the gold Olympic champion and will help young Slovenian athletes as part of the proceeds from sale will be donated to the Miroslav Cerar Foundation.

We are incredibly proud to have had the opportunity to work with the legend of Slovenian sport, Mr. Miroslav Cerar. As a bronze sponsor of the Olympic Committee of Slovenia, we are aware of the importance of educating young athletes, especially in finance, where young people often do not receive the appropriate skills. With the new silver coin and the donation to the Miroslav Cerar Foundation, we want to provide young athletes with the opportunity to fulfil their potential and make a successful transition to the sports career,” emphasised Peter Slapšak, director of Elementum.

With the purchase of the new Miroslav Cerar Tokyo 1964 silver medal, you can help young athletes and support them in developing their sports careers.
