Career highlight for Dvoršak at prestigious shooting event

Tokyo – Slovenian shooter Živa Dvoršak achieved her best ever result at Olympic Games after finishing seventh in the rifle three position in Tokyo on Saturday.

Gold went to the Swiss competitor Nina Christen, with the Russians Yulia Zykova and Yulia Karimova grabbing silver and bronze.

The rifle three position is considered the most prestigious shooting event and Dvoršak’s seventh place is a marked improvement over her 30th place finish in Rio de Janeiro and 36th in London.

Slovenia’s best female shooter, Dvoršak has had a stellar season this year, bagging her first World Cup win in New Delhi and finishing second in the air rifle event at the European Championship in Osijek.
