Kayakers Kauzer and Terčelj secure top spots in World Cup

Pau – Slovenian whitewater kayakers Peter Kauzer and Eva Terčelj secured top-three finished in the overall standings as the World Cup season wound down on Saturday.

Kauzer finished the race in runner-up position to swing to second place overall in the World Cup, behind Vito Prindiš, the only man to beat Kauzer today.

For Terčelj, fourth place was enough to capture bronze in the overall rankings.

Adding to Slovenia’s success, Urša Krajgelj finished today’s race in third place.

The World Cup will finish on Sunday, when canoeists including Olympic gold medalist Benjamin Savšek will hit the rapids.
