Over 1,000 daily cases reported again as hospital figures remain stable

Ljubljana – Slovenia recorded 1,085 new cases of coronavirus on Friday on a positivity rate of nearly 20%, the third day this week that the 1,000-mark has been exceeded. Hospitalisations did not increase much.

There were 274 patients in hospital this morning, down four from yesterday, whereas the number of intensive care cases rose by one to 62, according to data tracker Covid-19 Sledilnik.

Sledilnik data also show three patients with Covid-19 died.

The 14-day incidence per 100,000 population is now 441, according to the National Institute of Public Health (NIJZ), which estimates the number of active cases at almost 9,400.
