Almost 900 competitors expected at Istria Triathlon

Koper – Almost 900 competitors from 42 countries will be on the starting line on Sunday for I Feel Slovenia Ironman 70.3 Slovenian Istria, the country’s largest triathlon event.

After two successful events in 2018 and 2019 and the Covid-19 hiatus last year, the organisers expect everything to run smoothly, director of Ironman events for the EMEA region Nico Eschemann said earlier this week.

While competition is in the focus for the participants, the event is also a boon for tourism on the Slovenian coast at a time when the summer season is winding down.

Competitors typically spend five days on location and they have three accompanying staff on average.
