Coronavirus case count down for sixth day w/w

Ljubljana – Slovenia logged 444 new coronavirus cases on Saturday, the sixth consecutive day of week-on-week decline in new cases, official data shows. Another five Covid-19 patients have died.

Figures released by the government show 407 Covid-19 patients were treated at hospitals this morning, including 106 in intensive care. Both figures are up from yesterday, by 25 and two, respectively.

With five more deaths on Saturday, the overall death toll from Covid-19 now stands at 4,856, as it follows from a table released by the Health Ministry.

The National Institute of Public Health estimates there are now 13,472 active cases in the country, down from 13,588 the day before.

The 7-day average of new cases has dropped to 878 and the cumulative 14-day incidence per 100,000 residents to 636.

The test positivity rate yesterday was 19.2%.
