After Covid pass surge, vaccine uptake down again

Ljubljana – The surge in vaccination appointments following the announcement of a Covid pass mandate was short-lived, with the number of coronavirus shots delivered into arms almost halved last week, though it was still higher than in early September.

Over 84,000 shots were administered in the week between 13 and 19 September. Last week, the figure dropped to slightly under 45,000, show data by the Covid tracker Covid-19.Sledilnik.org, which are scrapped from the national vaccination registry.

As of Sunday, 47% of the Slovenian population were fully vaccinated and 53% have received the first shot of a coronavirus vaccine. In the adult population, the shares are 56% and 63%, respectively, according to coronavirus vaccine portal cepimose.si.
