Slovenian Opposition Must Grasp Opportunity for Different Social Order

The project is spearheaded by Jansa, whose political career is based on the notion of ​​overcoming communism. Unsure what this really means, Jansa has chosen cultural Marxism as his greatest enemy in the next elections, represented by the left or the communists, who will supposedly abolish private property and introduce totalitarian mechanisms of government, following the model of the former Communist Party of Yugoslavia.

All steps taken by Jansa derive from his personal delusions. Probably the biggest conspiracy against him is forged by former Yugoslav communists who morphed into a deep-state agency. His messages, either on TV or on Twitter, show a greatly distorted picture of the reality in which he lives.

Some analysts attribute this to his political style, which is of course wrong; Jansa actually believes in the things he says. The best example of this is his failure to manage the COVID-19 pandemic, in which Slovenia has broken all records, and not in a good way.

The key problem is that Jansa genuinely believes in his ability to defeat COVID-19. But his ability to succeed is being frustrated by others [the opposition, mainstream media, critical citizens…].

Jansa's government has not enjoyed a majority in parliament for months, it has stuffed state institutions with its own people and runs state-owned economic entities by decree, passed under cover of night.

Practically not a day goes by without a scandal breaking over the controversial deals...
