Davor Dragicevic Returns to Bosnia to ‘Get Justice for my Son’

Returning to Sarajevo from Vienna, and claiming his life was in danger, Davor Dragicevic, father of the murdered youngster David Dragicevic, said the killings of his son and of Dzenan Memic had to be solved - and those who took part in covering up of the murders must be punished.

"I have come back for justice for my son David, justice for Dzenan and justice for all," Dragicevic said, calling judicial institutions "the weakest spot of Bosnian society".

"In the upcoming days I will show what Gordana Tadic [former chief state prosecutor] did … I expect an urgent reaction, as my life is endangered," Dragicevic said.

His lawyer, Ifet Feraget, said that solving the cases will be a key test for the next acting chief state prosecutor, Milanko Kajganic.

"There has also been a change in the Organised Crime Section, which will conduct the investigation in this case. I hope that an order to conduct an investigation in the Dragicevic case will be given very soon, and in the case of Dzenan Memic's murder," he said.

"This is about an intentional obstruction of the system," he added, calling two cases specific because there was more than sufficient evidence "that the prosecution and police are covering up the two obvious murders".

Muriz Memic, whose son Dzenan was also killed, said that members of the Justice for Dzenan and Justice for David groups would hold new protests in Sarajevo.

"Soon we'll organise new protests in front of OHR to see whether they intend to do what they are here for, because the local guys obviously don't," Memic said, referring to Bosnia's international overseers.
