Logar attends democracy forum in Vilnius

Vilnius – Foreign Minister Anže Logar attended the Future of Democracy forum in Vilnius on Friday and held talks with his Lithuanian and Latvian counterparts dedicated to the situation on the border with Belarus.

At the commencement dinner, Logar spoke of challenges that democracies around the world face today and condemned the Belarus regime: “The EU cannot and may not give in to being blackmailed,” he was quoted as saying by the Foreign Ministry.

At the meeting with with Lithuanian Foreign Minister Gabrielius Landsbergis, Logar expressed Slovenia’s solidarity with Lithuania and described bilateral relations as excellent.

The situation on the border with Belarus and the EU’s future actions also topped the agenda of the meeting with Latvian Foreign Minister Edgars Rinkevičs, the Foreign Ministry said on Twitter.
