More than 1.300 new cases, 38 people died

An analysis of 13.767 samples was performed. According to the latest data, 187 people are on a respirator.
Also, 3.180 people were hospitalized.
Professor Dr Radmilo Jankovi, Deputy Director of UCC Ni, said that the introduction of new measures for the New Year is not realistic.
"Coronavirus is no longer the dominant topic in society, which has been seen in recent weeks. The numbers of newly infected are decreasing, and it is difficult to convince people of new measures," said Jankovi.
According to him, he does not expect that the numbers recorded in April, May and June will be over the winter.
"I do not expect that in the middle of winter the numbers will fall compared to the ones we had in April, May and June. We already had that last year, while we had 8.000 hospitalized in March. We will have a similar scenario, but with a much smaller number. Both because of the vaccinated and because of the almost passed virus, if we are not surprised by some properties of omicron", Jankovic told "Kurir" and added:
"I guess this will last until early spring if there is no big deviation, so we will enter a calmer period in which we can see what we can do next fall. I think that in April, like last year, it will start to fall towards two-digit numbers".
