Erdoğan, Macron discuss Russia’s invasion of Ukraine

President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and his French counterpart Emmanuel Macron on Feb. 25 discussed Russia's military intervention in Ukraine in a phone call, a statement by the communications directorate said. 

According to the announcement made after the call, the two leaders addressed Russia's military intervention in Ukraine and the latest developments.

Meanwhile, Defense Minister Hulusi Akar held a phone call with U.S. Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin on Thursday to discuss the situation in Ukraine. 

Akar and Austin also discussed bilateral ties and other regional defense and security issues, the Turkish National Defense Ministry said on Twitter.
