Goran Dragić to transfer to Chicago

Ljubljana – Slovenian NBA star Goran Dragić will not be joining the Dallas Mavericks as has been rumoured but will instead sign a one-year contract with the Chicago Bulls.

After playing for the Brooklyn Nets last season Dragić has now confirmed for the STA his transfer to the Bulls, who finished the regular season in 6th place in the Eastern Conference and were eliminated in the first round of play-offs.

According to US media, Dragić will sign a US$2.9 million (EUR 2.8 million) contract.

This will be the 15th NBA season for the 36-year old, who has also played for the Phoenix Suns, Houston Rockets, Miami Heat and Toronto Raptors.

Dragić averaged 7.5 points and 4.1 assists per match in the 21 games he played last season for the Raptors and Nets.
