North Macedonia Open-Air Film Fest Showcases New Ideas

The festival's biggest events are usually held at Kursumli An, an Ottoman-era caravanserai in Skopje's Old Town. But documentaries are also being shown in the square outside the Museum of the Republic of North Macedonia, at the Youth Cultural Centre and at Europe House Skopje.

The remaining films being shown on Wednesday and Thursday nights address a variety of major issues, such as animal welfare in the Czech film 'Chickens, Virus and Us', child abuse in the Swiss film 'Burning Memories', the weapons industry in the Argentinean film 'Splinters' and natural resources in 'Krapska River', a documentary made in North Macedonia.

As well as film screenings, workshops, discussions and a documentary film co-production forum, MakeCoProDox Forum 2022, have been held during the festival.
