Lajcak, Escobar, advisers from France, Germany, Italy to visit Belgrade,Pristina

BRUSSELS - The European Commission announced on Wednesday the EU special representative for the Belgrade-Pristina dialogue, Miroslav Lajcak, would visit Belgrade and Pristina on Friday with US special Western Balkans envoy Gabriel Escobar and political advisers from France, Germany and Italy.

In a statement to Tanjug, EU spokesperson Peter Stano said Lajcak would first visit Pristina for a meeting with Albin Kurti and then travel to Belgrade to meet with Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic.

The discussion will be about the next steps in the process of normalisation between Serbia and Kosovo, Stano said, adding that Lajcak would be accompanied by Escobar and political advisers of the French president, the German chancellor and the Italian PM.

Stano added that the visit was a part of EU efforts towards progress in the dialogue.
