Tanjug, Greece's ANA-MPA sign agreement on cooperation

BELGRADE - The Serbian Tanjug News Agency and Greece's leading news agency ANA-MPA signed an agreement on inter-agency cooperation on Friday.

The agreement was inked by Tanjug Editor-in-Chief Jovana Joksimovic and ANA-MPA General Manager Aimilos Perdikaris.

Joksimovic noted the significance of cooperation between major European news agencies, especially in the fight against fake news.

"To open the door to information, we must cooperate and, as Tanjug, we have begun to reinstate cooperation with major European agencies. We are the founders of EANA, a large European agency, and the idea for the future is to create an EANA in the Balkan way. This cooperation is just a step towards that large-scale cooperation we will have in the future," Joksimovic said.
