Brnabic: European companies employing over 280,000 people in Serbia

BELGRADE - Serbian PM Ana Brnabic said on Tuesday EU and regional cooperation were Serbia's main strategic foreign policy priorities and noted that European companies had directly employed 281,363 people in Serbia as of December 2022.

Speaking at a regional conference on Euro-Atlantic integration of the Western Balkans, trans-Atlantic cooperation and civil society, Brnabic also said that, if all countries in the Western Balkans were to join the Open Balkan project, the region's GDP would rise by 7 pct.

The conference is hosted by the Balkan Trust for Democracy of the German Marshall Fund of the US with support from the Norwegian ministry of foreign affairs and the Norwegian embassy in Belgrade.
