89-year-old woman arrested for daughter’s death

An 89-year-old woman from Corinth was arrested on Wednesday for beating her 57-year-old daughter who then died in hospital from her injuries.

According to state-run broadcaster ERT, the elderly woman hit her daughter who fell and hit her head. The victim was transferred to the local hospital in critical condition but she passed away.

The mother was led before a prosecutor.
