Vucic meets with Johansson

BELGRADE - Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic met with EU Home Affairs Commissioner Ylva Johansson in Belgrade on Thursday, thanking her for EU support and assistance in management of migration, as well as for recognising Serbia's efforts in handling the migrant crisis.

"From the very outset, Serbia accepted its share of obligations in a serious and responsible manner, greatly contributing to the general security of the EU and its citizens," Vucic wrote in a post on his buducnostsrbijeav Instagram profile that also included photos from the meeting with Johansson.

He added that they had also discussed cooperation with EU institutions on alignment of the visa regime, as well as the fight against organised crime and the status of Serbia's EU accession talks.
