Vucic: Pristina's elections a defeat for Kurti, tectonic changes have taken place

BELGRADE - Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic said Sunday's local elections held by Pristina in four majority-Serb municipalities in the north of Kosovo-Metohija were not only an unequivocal defeat for Albin Kurti and his regime but also signalled tectonic changes in the province.

"What happened yesterday is much more than that - yesterday, the Serbs demonstrated that they want a completely different approach, above all, by the international community, and I am referring to Western powers. They want greater respect and real dialogue, and not imposed solutions," Vucic said at a press conference.

The election results are a new political reality that many did not understand, Vucic also said.
