No tolls for private vehicles on election weekend

All Greek highways will be toll-free on Sunday for private vehicles and motorcyclists, making it easier to get to and from polling places.

From midnight Saturday to 8 a.m. Monday, there will be no tolls.

The Rio-Antirrio Bridge, the Lefktro-Sparta road, the Elefsina-Corinth-Patra road, the Patra Diversion, the Ionia Odos, Egnatia Odos and Attiki Odos are all included in the measure. On the weekend, all side roads that usually charge tolls will also be toll-free.

From 10 a.m. on Thursday, May 18, through midnight Monday, voting station legal representatives won't have to pay tolls. They may need to present a police ID and their appointment papers.
