Melange of traditional and urban rhythms at Druga Godba

Druga Godba, a long-running festival of world music, will bring 20 performers from 18 countries to Ljubljana between 22 and 30 May. The line-up includes acts ranging from Portuguese fado to flamenco, jazz and new African electronica.

The organisers have described the programme as a mix of traditional and urban rhythms by artists committed to music as an art form that is broad yet intimate.

Some of the highlights include the Spanish duet Tarta Relen, Columbian musicians Meridian Brothers and Faizal Mostrixx as a representative of new African electronica.
