Greek President Katerina Sakellaropoulou will receive the leader of PASOK-Movement for Change Nikos Androulakis on Tuesday at 6.30 p.m. on Tuesday to present him with the third exploratory mandate to form a government, according to article 37 of the Greek Constitution.

Earlier, main opposition SYRIZA leader Alexis Tsipras turned down the second exploratory mandate to form a government. As he explained to the president, he did not want to take up the mandate "because there is no possibility of forming a government."

The first exploratory mandate was received on Monday by the leader of the first party, Kyriakos Mitsotakis, who contacted the president in the afternoon of the same day and informed her that he is returning it ahead of new elections set for June 25. [AMNA]
