Bakhar: Red Star have impressive history, we can do great things together
BELGRADE - New Red Star Belgrade head coach Barak Bakhar said on Monday the Red-and-Whites were a football club with an impressive history, rich tradition and plenty of silverware in their trophy cabinet, and noted that he was convinced he would achieve success during his tenure in Belgrade.
"I am confident we can do great things together and, especially, take a step forward in Europe," Bakhar said at his unveiling at the Rajko Mitic Stadium.
Bakhar, who has put pen to paper on a three-year deal with Red Star Belgrade, said he had been impressed by the club's desire to sign him and by the fact Director General Zvezdan Terzic had visited his home country of Israel twice to meet with him.
"They knew a lot about me, even that I used to play tennis when I was a kid, so I joked I would come if they arranged me a match with Novak Djokovic," Bakhar revealed.
