Dacic calls on int'l community to protect Serbs in Kosovo-Metohija

BELGRADE - Serbian FM Ivica Dacic called on representatives of the international community on Monday to take fully seriously Pristina's unilateral acts and provocations and to protect Serbs in Kosovo-Metohija.

"Protect Serbs in Kosovo-Metohija - that is your obligation under all resolutions and declarations of international organisations, and do not put Serbia in an awkward position. Do your job - the explanation that someone cannot exert influence on Kurti is unacceptable," Dacic said at a Serbian Diplomacy Day ceremony at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The event was attended by diplomats including the head of the EU Delegation to Serbia, ambassadors of the Quint states and countries in the region, Turkey, Egypt, the Czech Republic, Ukraine and many African, Asian and South American countries.
