Nearly 100,000 tourists visit Belgrade in April

BELGRADE - A total 111,942 tourists, including nearly 100,000 foreigners, visited Belgrade this April, which is a 40 pct increase compared to the same month of 2022, the Tourism Organisation of Belgrade said.

According to figures released by the City of Belgrade authorities, the majority of tourists in April were Russians, Turks and visitors from Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia and Germany, with tourists from Greece and China registering the highest increase in the number of visits.

TOB said 291,351 of 349,907 people who had visited Belgrade since the beginning of the year had been foreign tourists and that this was a 44 pct increase y-o-y.

Registered overnight stays in the Serbian capital since the beginning of the year are close to one million, with 807,773 generated by foreign visitors, which is a 34 pct increase y-o-y.
