Construction, industry and business key sectors for economic growth - council

BELGRADE  - Serbian PM Ana Brnabic on Friday chaired a session of a council tasked with coordinating activities and measures for promoting GDP growth.

The council said construction, industry and business were key sectors for economic growth.

Brnabic said Serbia's GDP growth rate should reach 2.5 pct in 2023 and that the construction sector and quicker issuance of location and construction permits were crucial for achieving that objective, the Serbian government said in a statement.

She said economic stability and continued GDP growth had a direct impact on real wage and pension increases in Serbia.

The session also addressed a set of economic measures aimed at improving the living standards of Serbian citizens.
