Serbia beat Canada to advance to basketball world cup final
MANILA - The Serbia men's national basketball team is through to the final of the FIBA World Cup after a 95-86 (23-15, 29-24, 23-24, 20-23) semi-final win over Canada in Manila on Friday.
In Sunday's gold medal game, Serbia will play the winner of the other semi-final between the US and Germany.
Team captain Bogdan Bogdanovic led Serbia with 23 points, Ognjen Dobric scored 16 points, Nikola Milutinov had 16 points and 10 rebounds, Marko Guduric added 12 points and Aleksa Avramovic contributed 10 points and two steals.
RJ Barrett stood out for Canada with 23 points and Dillon Brooks and Shai Gilgeous-Alexander added 16 and 15 points, respectively.
