Serbia registers 7.7 bln dinar budget surplus in October

BELGRADE - Serbia registered a 7.7 bln dinar budget surplus in October.

Between January and October, a 5.6 bln dinar deficit was registered, which is 21.9 bln dinars better than the planned 27.6 bln deficit under the supplementary budget law, the Ministry of Finance has said.

Compared to the initial budget plan, the figure is better by 125.4 bln dinars as the planned deficit amounted to 131 bln dinars.

Revenues totalled 1,545.5 bln dinars, while expenditures amounted to 1,551.2 bln dinars.

October revenues amounted to 172.9 bln dinars, with tax revenues totalling 153.9 bln dinars.

VAT and excise duties totalled 85.1 bln dinars and 38.3 bln dinars, respectively, while non-tax revenues amounted to 18.3 bln dinars and donations stood at 0.7 bln dinars.

October expenditures totalled 165.2 bln dinars.
